QR codes

by Naomi Spivak on 12/07/11

I'm so excited about my latest experiment! I obtained a QR code through red laser, linked it to my website, had it digitized and then embroidered it on a shirt.  Well, wouldn't you know it, when scanned with a smart phone it actuallyworks! Takes you right to my website! Who would've thunk it? I thought that stitching wouldn't be exact enough, but no problem!  Too much fun! Everyone should walk around with their QR code stitched on their shirt, cap, bag, or whatever. Great marketing!

Bling with rhinestones and rhinestuds

by Naomi Spivak on 11/10/11

One way of decorating garments is with rhinestones and rhinestuds, or what is commonly known as "bling".  Most rhinestones have some lead in them, as they are made of glass.  For this reason, one should not decorate childrens items with rhinestones, but can instead "bling up" their clothes with rhinestuds - which are made of silver or colored metal.  They offer the bling without the risk!

Back to school monogramming

by Naomi Spivak on 08/18/11

As I receive more and more requests for back to school monogramming on backpacks and lunchboxes, I want to remind everyone to consider the safety of your children.  Instead of putting full names on elementary school childrens' backpacks, consider putting a 2 or 3 letter monogram, so that strangers will not be able to call out their name as they walk to the bus and in to school.
